Robotics software development
Software connecting design geometry with industrial robot programming and fabrication. We develop programming tools, simulations and integrations around the robot, controller and process you use.
Programming and process development
Robotic fabrication needs more than a path through space. The software must represent the tool, coordinate systems, movement and process instructions in a form that can be checked and translated for the controller.
Our development work covers robot kinematics, motion simulation, toolpath generation and controller-code generation. We also connect robot programming with design applications and custom .NET software.
- Generate robot paths from design geometry and process parameters.
- Develop tools for inspecting motion and programming sequences.
- Extend controller output and equipment integrations.
- Build interfaces for fabrication and research workflows.
Selected work
Robots has been used at more than 70 universities and design schools. Published applications include construction, manufacturing and robotic measurement.
Robotic 3D printing combines custom slicing, toolpath previews and robot simulation with extrusion control linked to robot speed.
CAM integration for six-axis milling lets engineers prepare machining paths in RhinoCAM or PowerMILL, simulate them with Robots and generate programs for the robot controller.
Robots and custom integrations
visose maintains Robots, an open-source robot-programming library for Rhino, Grasshopper and .NET, created by Vicente Soler and originally developed at UCL. It combines a reusable C# library, Grasshopper tools and integrations for multiple robot manufacturers.
Custom development can extend this foundation or integrate it into another application. Requirements are scoped around the cell, tooling, controller and host software. Physical commissioning and validation remain part of the client's engineering process.
Discuss your robotics workflow
Tell us about the process, robot and controller, the design inputs and the software you already use. We can assess the integration, develop a focused capability or work on a larger software system.
For an existing Robots installation, see commercial support. For new development, our working process explains how scope, reviews and delivery are agreed.
