CAD and 3D application development

Web and desktop software for creating, editing and working with geometry. We build complete applications and develop new capabilities for existing products and internal tools.

From geometry to a usable application

A CAD application brings together modeling operations, user interaction, display and a document system. We develop these parts as a connected workflow, from how users select and edit objects to how their work is stored and exchanged.

Projects can involve a new product, a focused prototype or further development of an established application. The scope follows the users' tasks and the systems the software needs to work with.

  • Interactive 2D and 3D editing, selection, snapping and commands.
  • Geometric modeling, procedural generation and design rules.
  • Viewport display, materials and model inspection.
  • Document storage, undo/redo and data import and export.
  • Services for automated processing and connections to existing systems.

Selected work

Architectural CAD software lets architects generate and edit buildings in a complete desktop application, combining direct solid modeling, procedural tools and site data.

Coastal engineering CAD lets engineers design marine works using survey and ground data, with excavation, fill and rock quantities calculated as the design changes.

Port terminal design keeps berths, yards and equipment connected as layouts change, with quantity reports for comparing design options.

Web and desktop technologies

We use C#/.NET and TypeScript, with React and Three.js for web interfaces and interactive 3D. Our desktop work includes integrating the Parasolid geometry kernel with a Unity display and a custom C# document and editing system.

We select the architecture around the modeling requirements, expected data, deployment environment and existing code. A technical assessment can test a difficult geometry operation or integration before a larger development phase.

Start with the application you need

Describe who will use the software, the task it should support and any existing models, code or systems. You do not need a complete specification to begin a discussion.

Our services and working process cover requirements, development reviews, testing and handover. If the tool belongs inside an existing CAD application, plugin development may be the appropriate starting point.
