CAD plugin development
Custom tools for the CAD and design applications your team already uses. We develop plugins, automate repeated work and connect models with other software.
Extend your design tools
A plugin can turn a repeated design operation into a command, generate models from project rules or bring an external service into the modeling environment. We develop the user interface and the underlying geometry and data processing together.
Work can include new plugins, additional capabilities for an existing extension, or compatibility updates for a new host version.
- Model generation from parameters, catalogs and design rules.
- Drawing production, model inspection and custom editing tools.
- Exchange of geometry and properties between applications.
- Connections to web services, licensing systems and shared data.
Selected work
Automated BIM for modular housing turns house configurations from a web application into editable Revit models, applying the manufacturer's component and layout rules.
CAD integrations for design collaboration let Rhino, Revit and SketchUp users share models for review with colleagues who do not use the source CAD software.
Medical brace design lets specialists fit brace templates to body scans, refine their shape and export the geometry for manufacturing.
Platforms and integration
Our work includes Rhino and Grasshopper, Autodesk Revit and Navisworks, and SketchUp. We use C#/.NET for geometry and host integrations, with TypeScript and React where a web interface fits the workflow.
For tools spanning several applications, shared libraries can keep the calculation and geometry rules consistent while each integration handles its own document model and interface. The approach depends on the host APIs, supported versions and how the tools will be installed and maintained.
Discuss a plugin
Tell us which application and versions you use, what operation you want to improve and what inputs and outputs are involved. An example model or a description of the current workflow can help define the first useful step.
We can review an existing codebase, assess an integration or develop a new tool. Our services and working process explain scoping, reviews and delivery.
